If you are cleaning out your closets, the garage or the basement this spring, don't just dump it.

Secondhand shops:
Play It Again Sports, Game Stop (video games and consoles), Plato's Closet (teen and young adult clothes and accessories), and Music Go Round (instruments) will pay you for your used items. Check the chains website for the closest location and call before you head out.
Another way to make some cash is to go online.
www.ebay.com, www.craigslist.org, www.amazon.com, www.gazelle.com and www.backpage.com.
Check with each site for terms and fees. Craigs List and Back Page does not charge a fee to list.
Have a Garage Sale:
You could bring in $500 - $1500 for a weekends worth of work. Sub-division sales are great, they cost less and there are multiple homes participating. Therefore more traffic.
